615小鼠肺癌瘤株脂肪細胞在能量儲存和代謝過程中有著重要的作用。
脂肪細胞分化是一個發展的過程，它對代謝穩態和營養信號很重要。
它由復雜的過程控制，如基因表達和信號轉導。
前脂肪細胞存在于成人脂肪組織中，能根據能量的平衡增殖和分化成熟的脂肪細胞。
前體細胞的增殖和分化能夠增加脂肪組織的體積。
在體外培養中，不同的組織來源前脂肪細胞的油脂含量，成脂轉錄因子表達和TNFalpha誘導的凋亡均有不同。
同時研究表明它還與脂肪分化以及許多生理病理過程密切相關，如脂肪代謝、能量平衡、肥胖、糖尿病、高血脂和乳癌。

615小鼠肺癌瘤株<7210>人脂肪細胞-內臟提取于內臟脂肪組織，<7200>人脂肪細胞-皮下提取于人皮下脂肪組織，*代凍存，每管含有細胞數>1×106 cells/ml，此細胞通過CD44, CD90免疫熒光染色和脂肪染色驗證，經測試不含有HIV-1、HBV、HCV、支原體、細菌、酵母和真菌。
